Black Tie & Calla Lilies at The Parsonage
Samantha and Matt welcomed May with a spring wedding at The Parsonage at St. Johannes in Charleston, South Carolina. Behind the property’s blush pink walls and wrought iron gates, Direct My Day Charleston brought the celebration together with a timeless black and white palette and details that suited the historic downtown setting.
Samantha and Matt exchanged vows surrounded by family and friends, with Flora by Hannah carrying calla lilies throughout the ceremony design. White calla lilies tied with ribbon accented the chairs, while Samantha carried a sculptural bouquet of the same blooms. The celebration continued on the veranda, where hanging ferns and lanterns framed a long banquet table layered with amber glassware, gold flatware, white anemones, and greenery. Direct My Day Charleston kept drinks flowing from the bar, while live music from Emerald Empire Band brought a touch of Charleston jazz to the gathering. Samantha and Matt later shared their first dance inside the intimate parlor before cake and champagne toasts carried the celebration into the evening.
Taylor Jordan Photography works naturally with the historic interiors, garden greenery, and architectural details of The Parsonage, giving the gallery a polished sense of place that feels distinctly Charleston.
