Botanical Romance at The Gadsden House

The Gadsden House

Meagan and Magnus welcomed late spring with a May wedding at The Gadsden House in Charleston, South Carolina. Like Daughter Co. wove the celebration through the property’s courtyards and interiors, carrying a fresh palette of white and green with touches of peach and lavender from ceremony to reception. Cocktail hour followed in the garden, where guests gathered beneath the magnolias for drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres. Bottles of house-made limoncello tied with twine and personalized with each guest’s name added a thoughtful touch.

The reception moved indoors, where botanical print linens, sage green goblets, cream stoneware, and arrangements of snapdragons, Queen Anne’s lace, and garden roses dressed the tables. Artisan Blooms layered the marble fireplace mantel with cascading peach, lavender, and ivory florals beneath its gilded mirror, while a three-tier buttercream cake finished with hand-piped botanical details carried the garden-inspired design into dessert.

MKMc Photography moves between the garden courtyards and elegant interiors with an eye for the soft spring color and intimate moments throughout the day, while Charleston Wedding Videographer preserves the celebration on film. Meagan and Magnus shared a dance surrounded by family and friends before ending the night with a sparkler send-off. For couples dreaming of a historic, garden-inspired wedding in the Lowcountry, Meagan and Magnus’s celebration offers plenty of inspiration in soft spring color, botanical details, and Charleston charm.
