Emerald Romance in the Snow at The Barns at Mattaponi Springs
Snow dusted the countryside for Hayley and Alex’s December wedding at The Barns at Mattaponi Springs in Ruther Glen, Virginia, bringing a wintry backdrop to a celebration layered in emerald green, ivory, and gold. Hayley paired her long sleeve lace gown with a bouquet by Flowers by Zoie, filled with ivory roses, ranunculus, stock, dusty miller, and greenery. Kayla Ainsley & Co. completed her bridal look before the couple exchanged vows inside the timber framed barn. White roses, snapdragons, baby’s breath, and trailing eucalyptus covered the ceremony arch beneath glowing string lights and an iron chandelier.
Emerald linens, crystal glassware, and arrangements of eucalyptus and baby’s breath carried the rich winter palette into the reception. Guests found their tables through a bookshelf display lined with green book inspired escort cards, while illuminated letters from Alpha-Lit Richmond stood beneath an emerald, ivory, and gold balloon installation. Ash & Olive served dinner and created the dessert spread, including a piped heart shaped cake, cupcakes, and petite sweets finished with fresh berries.
