Romance in Full Bloom at The Market at Grelen

The Market at Grelen

A lush May afternoon set the tone for Rachel and Pedro’s wedding at The Market at Grelen, surrounded by orchard hills, colorful gardens, and distant Blue Ridge Mountain views. The Evergreen Collective coordinated the day around a soft palette of ivory and sage green, blending garden-inspired details with the property’s natural landscape.

Beneath the sweeping branches of a weeping tree, Rachel and Pedro exchanged "I'dos" surrounded by bamboo chairs and clouds of baby’s breath and white florals by Fruition Floral Design. Afterward, the property’s rows of Japanese maples brought rich red and gold color to portraits before guests gathered on the patio for cocktail hour. Live violin accompanied custom Pisco Sours and Raspberry Lemon Martinis, adding a personal touch to the afternoon.

The stone patio was transformed for the reception, with pieces from MS Events layered among flowing ivory linens, tall glass candles, garden-style white florals, and hand-lettered table numbers. Potted magnolia trees framed the space beneath string lights, while the dance floor anchored the evening. The Catering Outfit served dinner before guests made their way to the dance floor. Lilly Magnolia Photo draws on the changing color and texture of the landscape throughout the gallery, from the Japanese maples and orchard rows to portraits overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Set among the gardens and rolling countryside of Central Virginia, Rachel and Pedro’s May wedding paired romantic white florals, earthy tones, and personal details with the freshness of a spring celebration at The Market at Grelen.
