Tradition in Autumn Color at Heigh Torr Estate

Heigh Torr Estate

Autumn color surrounded Martekuor and Sichen’s October wedding at Heigh Torr Estate in Purcellville, Virginia, where golden pastures and the Blue Ridge foothills framed a celebration that brought Ghanaian and Chinese traditions together. Event Details by Edelina coordinated the day across the estate with a rich palette of dusty rose, burgundy, ivory, and gold.

In the open meadow, Martekuor and Sichen exchanged "I'dos" beneath an arch by J. Morris Flowers, layered with burgundy dahlias, blush garden roses, ivory hydrangeas, and trailing greenery. A white picket fence opened to views of the surrounding countryside, while bubbles filled the air around the newlyweds after their first kiss.

Cocktail hour followed on the poolside terrace, where Masters of Mixology served guests against the backdrop of the stone farmhouse and autumn landscape. As evening settled in, tables paired crisp white linens with blush napkins, gold flatware, pink taper candles, and jewel-toned florals. A dance floor anchored the space, while the sweetheart table featured a cascading floral garland and glowing lanterns. Bubble guns made another appearance as Martekuor and Sichen stepped onto the floor for their first dance.

Imagery by Erin works with the rich fall color and sweeping countryside throughout the gallery, while Rivion Wedding Films preserves the movement and energy of the celebration on film. From the meadow ceremony to the candlelit tent, Martekuor and Sichen’s October wedding paired autumn color and romantic details with traditions honoring both families against the beauty of Northern Virginia’s countryside.
